More injured workers speak out on Legal Aid cuts

October 7, 2019

Every couple of weeks, we have been releasing new videos of injured workers talking about what their life would be like without Legal Aid clinics. These videos are a part of a worker-led campaign to speak out about the Doug Ford government’s deep cuts to legal aid, and specifically on the effects it will have on injured workers.

Today we are pleased to share two more important videos. We have an injured worker and activist named Steve Mantis who speaks about how legal aid clinics have helped injured workers in Northern Ontario.

We also have Ruby’s story of how she struggled with the WSIB after her concussion, and how the supports she received from clinics may have saved her life.

Below, you can see our previous videos from Wayne, Seeta, El-Kbir, and Alicia.

While the two new videos do not yet have closed captioning, those below do.
