The Toronto Workers History Project will host the Toronto book launch of the major new work on exploring why Ontario’s workers’ compensation is increasingly resulting in injured worker poverty: Who Killed Sir William? A Community – University Research Alliance Seeks Justice for Injured Workers. The frank, in-depth look by longtime injured worker activist Steve Mantis and advocate Marion Endicott details the successes and challenges of the 2006-2011 project, the Research Action Alliance on the Consequences of Work Injury, with practical lessons learned for true community participation and collaboration with the academic partners in all stages of the research and knowledge transfer process.
Join the authors and surprise guests at the USW Hall, 25 Cecil Street, Toronto on Tuesday, May 27th at 7 PM.
