Thunder Bay & District Injured Workers Support Group invites you to their weekly Tuesday morning Zoom meeting, held from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. Everyone is welcome!
This week’s session discusses the timely new book Occupational safety and health and Canada’s mobile labourer force: obstacles to regulatory effectiveness by authors Katherine Lippel, Barbara Neis, Maxine Visotzky-Charlebois, and
Dalia Gesualdi-Fecteau. [download or read a free copy ]
Based on their research project, the book investigates the often-overlooked risks faced by workers who engage in extended geographical mobility related to their work including extended daily commuting, intra- and inter-provincial rotational work, international labour migration into Canada and mobility as or within work such as within transportation and homecare work.
