Topic: Getting to work with a physical disability: gaps in disability, transportation, and workers’ compensation return-to-work policies and programs. Guest speaker Dana Howse will present findings from her postdoctoral research. The study findings highlight important weaknesses in both workers’ compensation and general disability policies that can negatively influence employment options, enhance reliance on informal supports, and contribute to unemployment and poverty.
