Following the Injured Workers’ Day activities, this joint conference will continue focusing on the state of today’s workers’ compensation system. Preliminary program: Presentation of final report of the Meredith Hearings conducted by Professor Robert Storey (McMaster University) and Carol Elston (University of Guelph) to gather injured workers’ testimony from around the province. Participants will hear updates on the legal challenges, review recent changes and problematic issues, and work on strategy and actions to engage all in ensuring a fairer system.
