Mayworks Festival of Working People and the Arts

| United Steelworkers Hall

The 2026 Mayworks festival launches on May 1, International Workers’ Day, at 6:30 p.m.at Toronto’s United Steelworkers Hall with a celebration including live music, conversation and food.

A musical performance by Parallel Play Collective draws inspiration from the revolutionary struggles of the Filipino people. This follows a panel discussion on raw materials, goods, capital, and workers as part of a network of global supply chains where each link is integral to the system of wealth distribution shaping our living and working conditions.  [Get tickets (free) here at Eventbrite]

The Mayworks Festival continues throughout May with events in Greater Toronto and Hamilton (see full program).
