Older injured workers are being discriminated against by the Workplace Safety Insurance Act. The law cuts off compensation at age 65 – or after just two years if a worker is injured at 63 or older. In addition, an employer’s obligation to re-employ a worker after injury does not apply to those 65 or older. This leaves many injured workers without the support they need, simply because of their age. This is unfair and inhumane, and that’s why we’re launching the Rights Don’t Retire Campaign.
On November 25th, we’re going directly to Queen’s Park to bring our concerns to our representatives as part of an in-person event, and we would like you to join us.
This event will bring together injured workers, advocates, and allies to share their stories and call for change. There will be media coverage and political action, including questions raised in the legislature.

Here’s how you can help:
- Attend the Lobby Day on November 25th
- Please attend an upcoming organizing meeting October 20 at 1 p.m. if you wish to join!
