Lead researcher Dr. Peter Smith shares the results from an Institute for Work & Health project exploring the prevention and management of work-related psychological injuries. The study involved a modified environmental scan across 22 jurisdictions in Canada and Australia. Part of the project involved a review of public documents related work-related psychological conditions, including legislation, regulations and associated guidance materials. The other part consisted of interviews with 32 experts across 16 jurisdictions, from compensation boards and regulators to prevention agencies.
Dr Smith also outlines other relevant research from IWH on psychosocial work factors and challenges in return to work for work-related psychological conditions.
