Injured workers are under attack, again. The WSIB hired a consulting company – KPMG – to audit the Board’s dispute resolution and appeals process. The recommendations found in the report by KPMG are not only damaging to injured workers, but they also break the law.
In summary, they seek to:
- add 3 new time limits for injured workers within a 90 day period
- cut the time limit to object to decisions from 6 months to 1 month
- cut the amount of time for injured workers to find a legal representative
On May 18th at 1pm, join injured workers and the community at a town hall. We will talk about KPMG’S damaging report and recommendations – which were endorsed by the WSIB – and more importantly, we will organize against them, together. We need your input.
