Injured workers deliver report card

Marking the one year anniversary of Tom Teahen’s appointment as Workplace Safety and Insurance Board President and CEO, injured workers, the Ontario Network of Injured Workers’ Groups (@ONIWG) and representatives from several legal clinics last Wednesday brought a message of their deep frustration over inaction on urgently needed changes to his doorstep – including a list of headlines from a year’s worth of “bad” press. Asking him to walk a mile in their shoes, injured workers also delivered written statements of personal experiences dealing with the compensation system under his leadership.
