December 9, 2024 by Injured worker community coalition

“A community response to WSIB’s $2.5 billion gift to employers” . What Injured Workers Need report: a community response to WSIB's $2.5 billion gift to employersThe demands in this dossier are meant to serve as a starting point for that conversation:

  • end deeming
  • pass Bill 118 (Injured Workers Day Act)
  • listen to our doctors
  • increase LOE (loss of earnings) benefit rate
  • address mental health
  • include migrant workers in deeming review
  • occupational cancer and disease recognition
  • address older injured workers’ rights
  • protect precarious workers
  • stop WSIB premium rate reductions and rebates
  • ensure real healthcare for injured workers
  • provide universal coverage
