Ontario has introduced proposed law (Bill 105, Protecting Ontario’s Workers and Economic Resilience Act, 2026) that would strip away a key protection for permanently injured workers and make other important changes to the workers’ compensation system.
The Ontario Network of Injured Workers Groups (ONIWG) has prepared this kit to give you what you need to push back — with your MPP (elected representative), in your community, and in the media. You don’t need to be a policy expert. You are the expert on your own experience, and your voice matters.
The Bill 105 Lobby Kit provides an overview of the changes proposed to the Workplace Safety and Insurance Act in schedule 9 of the bill; where the bill stands now in the legislative process; why it is important to act now; and what message MPPs need to hear during the 2026 summer break.
