Support legal aid for injured workers – rally Oct 24

October 21, 2019

rally flyer - don't cut legal aidWhen you have trouble with the WSIB, will there be help? The Ontario government has significantly cut funding to legal aid, but provincial clinics focusing on injured workers and workers’ rights suffered a disproportionate blow.

IAVGO Community Legal Clinic, Workers’ Health & Safety Legal Clinic, Injured Workers Community Legal Clinic and the injured workers impacted invite you to show solidarity during our funding appeal to Legal Aid Ontario:

  • Join a rally outside 40 Dundas St West on October 24 at 12:45 p.m. before the three clinics make their appeal in oral hearings against funding cuts
  • Contact the Attorney General (800-518-7901 or attorneygeneral@ontario.ca) and Premier Ford (416-325-1941 or doug.fordco@oc.ola.org). Tell them to reverse the cuts to legal aid clinics, and not target injured and precarious workers!
