Will your MPP vote to end deeming?

October 5, 2019

Will your MPP vote to end deeming?

We have told you before about an important Private Members Bill that could stop deeming in its tracks and preserve the livelihood of thousands of injured workers in the province.

Well, now you can see whether or not your MPP has pledged to respect injured workers and vote in favour of the bill that would end “phantom jobs” for injured workers in Ontario.

Check out the list and map of MPPs who have supported at injuredworkeronline.org/map.

Help us fill in the gaps! If you don’t see your MPP as a supporter yet, you can find all of the materials you need to set up a meeting and ask them to sign the pledge on our Stop Deeming “action toolkit.”

We suggest asking for a meeting and setting a deadline – notifying your MPP that you will consider a non-response as a refusal to sign the pledge.

Once you hear from your MPP one way or another, send us a photo of the signed pledge, or a copy of the email you sent to them, right away at workerscompisaright@gmail.com.
