Toronto campaign reaches out

October 6, 2017

Injured workers from the ridings of Toronto-Danforth, Beaches-East York, and beyond had an inspiring, empowering, and fun day last Saturday building the Workers’ Comp is a Right campaign and getting the word out to the public. The day started off with a community meeting where ideas flowed about the importance of injured workers getting involved and taking action, and what we can do to build the campaign together. Organizers then hit the streets, handing out leaflets and collecting petition signatures outside Pape subway station. Lots of interest and support from passers-by, some of whom were injured workers themselves and had first-hand experience struggling with the system. All in all a great day, and we are looking forward to the next one!
