Thunder Bay & District injured workers rallied Monday afternoon outside MPP Michael Gravelle’s constituency office to protest a significant increase in claims denials and drop in benefits paid out. ONIWG president Eugene LeFrancois called on the provincial government to address these and other issues with the current workers’ compensation system.”I think what they have to do is talk to injured workers and roll up our sleeves and work on this,” Lefrancois said. “We are not going away.”
