On the 14th annual international Repetitive Strain Injury Awareness Da, Yasir Naqvi (Minister of Labour) , Monte McNaughton (PC- Lambton-Kent-Middlesex) and Taras Natyshak (NDP- Essex ) spoke on the need for further awareness and prevention of RSI injuries. The Minister outlined government initiatives aimed at reducing such work-related musculoskeletal disorders (which account for 40% of injuries requiring time off work), while the NDP Labour critic referred to the WSIB’s recently commissioned Brigham report and attacks on the work-relatedness of RSIs.
