The changing nature of work means more Ontarians who become sick, injured or disabled are forced to rely on the Ontario Disability Support Program. New study by John Stapleton for the Metcalf Foundation indicates that the Canada Pension Plan Disability (CPP-Disability) and Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB) benefits each cover only about 20% of claimants, employer disability benefits an estimated 15%, with Employment Insurance (EI), veterans’ benefits and the RDSP supporting very few Ontarians…
