Thursday, May 3, 2018 is World Press Freedom Day, and the Canadian Journalism Foundation has organized an inaugural “World News Day” event for the evening (6-9 p.m.) at the CBC Studios on Front Street in Toronto. Janice Martell has been invited to talk about the impact of quality journalism on her McIntyre Powder Project work. She will be interviewed onstage for 10 minutes (7:57 p.m. to 8:07 p.m.) by the Fifth Estate producer from their “Miner’s Daughter” episode (Linda Guerriero).
