The Ontario Network of Injured Workers Groups’ AGM will be held on Saturday, October 15th beginning at 12:30 to 5 pm.
As it is a virtual AGM, we are inviting all injured workers and allies to participate in it. It is a great opportunity to meet other injured workers as well as to learn about ONIWG and its activities and what is going on in the political world with injured workers.
2022 is an election year. Elections will be held for President, Secretary, Treasurer and regional VPs in the 6 geographic areas. These positions make up the voting members of ONIWG’s board. We recognize that the effects of serious injuries for young people can vary and it is important that they too have a community of support. Member groups with members under the age of 30 are allowed to have a Youth Delegate and a Youth VP will be elected if there is 2 or more Youth Delegates present. Each member injured workers’ group of ONIWG is allowed to have 2 voting delegates for the AGM but everyone is invited to participate in the discussions. Each member group must advise ONIWG of the names of their voting delegates by October 7th to allow us time to finalize the process.
