Looking to share lessons of the last six months, the Ontario Federation of Labour (OFL) is hosting a two-part virtual conference on Worker Knowledge Activism and COVID-19: Now more than ever..
During both parts of the conference, participants will interact in small group discussions and engage with panels of representatives from different unions to discuss COVID-19 experiences and strategies to better safeguard workers. Part I of the conference will also include a presentation from Andy King on the power of knowledge activism. King, former National Health Safety and Environment Co-ordinator and Department Leader for the United Steelworkers Union in Canada, adjunct faculty member at McMaster University and founding member of the Labour Occupational Health Clinics for Ontario Workers, Academic Research Collaboration (LOARC) will provide some of the context for the conference including key LOARC research results.
