IWH Plenary: doctors’ role in RTW

| Institute for Work & Health

While physicians have an important role in the return to work (RTW) process, research shows that they sometimes struggle to manage RTW consultations and help patients return to work after an injury. An Institute for Work & Health team, led by Dr. Agnieszka Kosny, is examining resources, policies and guidelines that have been developed for physicians by workers’ compensation boards, governments and other organizations across Canada. This plenary focuses on resource gaps that may hinder physicians’ understanding of their roles and responsibilities in the workers’ compensation system, and which may ultimately delay workers’ return to work after injury.

Due to limited seating, please RSVP to Albana Çanga (acanga@iwh.on.ca) if you plan to attend. Or join the plenary online – email Albana Çanga for information on how to access the live stream.
