Hamilton group issues May newsletter, The Beacon

A new issue of The Beacon,  Hamilton & District Injured Workers Group’s newsletter, is now available – with updates on COVID-19 support, workers’ compensation campaigns  and injured workers’ news and events. Subscribe  on the Hamilton group’s website https://hdiwg.net/newsletter to get the newsletter sent to your email.

Since 1987 the Hamilton & District Injured Workers Group has been helping workers (and their families and friends) who are injured, have been exposed to toxic substances, or live with disabilities resulting from workplace injuries.  Although the staff and board are working from home during the pandemic, you can still reach them by email at  Hamiltoninjuredworkers@hdiwg.net or by phone at (905) 543-9090. Office hours are Monday to Thursday 10 am to 3pm.  Peer support and in-person meetings and social events will begin again as soon as permitted.

The  HD&IWG reminds injured workers in its region who are experiencing difficulties to reach out – they can help get you get connected to services to manage food deliveries, emergency funds, neighbourhood care mongering groups, mental health supports and more.
