Free workshop on financial supports

November 17, 2017

Is there financial support you could be receiving?  The Toronto Public Library, in partnership with the WoodGreen Community Services Financial Empowerment Program, is holding another free workshop November 29th on Benefits, Supports and Tax Credits available to persons living with a disability and their caregivers.  The session covers an overview of available financial supports and credits, eligibility requirements and how to apply. The program will be held at the Danforth/ Coxwell library (1675 Danforth Ave.) from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. For more information, please visit the branch or call 416-393-7784.

This workshop is one of a series on personal finance given in various library branches around Toronto – check for a session near you. The libraries also offer  Law in the Library talks with lawyers from the community discussing common legal problems.

Libraries across Ontario host similar workshops and clinics on personal finance and legal issues, and also can direct you to the health or social services you need. So check out what’s available at your local public library (A-Z directory)
