A forum on precarity, vulnerability and workplace safety among newcomers and temporary migrants in Canada will look at the intersection of work and health. Examining the labour experiences of temporary foreign workers, new immigrants, refugees, working international students and undocumented migrants, the 2018 forum will also explore opportunities for effective policies, strong regulatory frameworks, effective health services, workplace safety prevention and worker empowerment.
Organizers: Occupational Health Clinics for Ontario Workers (OHCOW) and the Dalla Lana School of Public Health at the University of Toronto. Registration and submissions details will be made available in January 2018. [see website for details]
