Precarious employment & health – IWH Plenary

| Institute for Work & Health

Dr. Wayne Lewchuk (School of Labour Studies and Department of Economic, McMaster University) will discuss how researchers measure the impact of precarious work on health indicators, including physical and mental health – and how they establish the interaction between poverty, precarious employment and health outcomes. Dr Lewchuk will speak on the 2011 and 2014 PEPSO survey data on poverty and employment precarity in Southern Ontario, how it compares with the Statistics Canada data on temporary employment, and avoiding drawing misleading conclusions.

Please contact Albana Canga (acanga@iwh.on.ca or 416-927-2027 ext. 2160) to attend in person or to access a livestream of the plenary.
