The Jim Hobbs Memorial Ride from Elliot Lake to Massey will be the first leg of the 2018 Justice for Injured Workers Bike Ride. The ride honours the late Jim Hobbs, and the many other miners who, like him, have suffered long-term health impacts from their mandatory exposure to the aluminum dust prophylaxis, McIntyre Powder.
Starts: 7 a.m. – Elliot Lake Miners’ Memorial Park – Hwy 108 North (600 metres north of Hampton Inn)
Ends: 1 p.m. – Massey Arena
A Reception event and public presentation follow from 1-3 p.m. at the Massey & District Arena – 455 Government Road, Massey, ON
